South Korean singer and rapper Lee Jeno opened the 2022 New York Fashion Week (NYFW) show held Wednesday, Sept. 14, making him the first-ever K-pop artist in history.
According to media releases, the member of NCT Dream walked the Vogue runway wearing one of the first-ever menswear of Vietnamese-American fashion designer Peter Do's Spring/Summer 2023 collections.
Marking his fashion debut, Jeno wore a shiny black suit and slacks, open white polo, and platform heels.
Peter Do earlier announced his collaboration with Jeno’s company, one of South Korea's largest and leading music labels SM Entertainment for the NYFW 2022.
SM Rookies’ Shohei and Eunseok also joined Jeno on the runway.
The esteemed fashion designer also invited SM's Red Velvet Kang Seulgi as special guests seated in the front row on the event.
However, this is not the first time that Peter Do worked with SM Entertainment.
Earlier this year, he collborated with NCT 127’s Johnny Suh for the Met Gala. The Korean rapper wore a custom-made suit by Peter Do.
Jeno Lee debuted in one of NCT subunits named NCT Dream in 2016 with the single “Chewing Gum”. The group had numerous hits such as "Ridin", "Boom", "Hot Sauce", "Hello Future", "Glitch Mode" and their latest comeback song "Beatbox".
The group is set to return to the country for the I-POP U 2022 on October 21 at Smart Araneta Coliseum.
