Chenle of K-pop boy group NCT Dream will be missing their two-day soldout shows in the Philippines this weekend due to health condition.
On Thursday, his label SM Entertainment announced that the 22-year-old singer will sit out from their upcoming concerts "The Dream Show 2" in Manila on April 29-30, as well as their Singapore leg on May 1.
"NCT’s Chenle will inevitably be absent from the upcoming NCT DREAM TOUR “THE DREAM SHOW2 : In A DREAM” scheduled for Manila on April 29 and 30 as well as Singapore on May 1 due to his poor health condition with cold symptoms," the statement read.
"The decision was made for the recovery of Chenle’s health, so we ask for the generous understanding of fans. Chenle plans to participate in the Macau concert scheduled for May 13 and 14 after taking enough rest," it added.
Concert promoter PULP Live World also confirmed the news and announced that the 6 members Mark, Renjun, Jeno, Haechan, Jaemin, and Jisung will proceed with the concerts.
"The Dream Show 2: In A Dream" will serve as the group’s first solo concert in the country since February 2020, as well as their first performance as a seven-member group.
In 2022, the group visited the Philippines twice for K-pop music festivals Begin Again in May and I-POP U in October.
Debuted in 2016 under SM Entertainment, NCT Dream is composed of Mark, Renjun, Jeno, Haechan, Jaemin, Chenle, and Jisung.
They are best known for their hit songs Beatbox, Hot Sauce, Candy, My First and Last, and Chewing Gum, among others.
Wishing for your fast recovery, Chenle!
