NCT's Haechan will be resuming all his activities starting with the promotion of NCT127's upcoming repackage album "Ay-Yo."
"Haechan, who temporarily sat out his scheduled activities in order to recover his health and get sufficient rest, will be resuming all activities starting with NCT 127’s comeback with “Ay-Yo,” the repackaged version of their fourth studio album, on January 30," his label, SM Entertainment, said in a statement on Friday.
Earlier this month, the 22-year-old K-pop idol went on a temporary hiatus from activities after experiencing abnormal conditions such as heart palpitations, chest tightness, and others. As a result, he sat out from NCT 127’s latest tour stops in the United States and Latin America.
Haechan, whose real name is Lee Dong-Hyuck, expressed his 'strong desire' to promote with his members and meet fans.
"Because Haechan focused fully on his treatment and recovery during his break, his condition has improved greatly, and due to his strong desire to promote together with the other [NCT 127] members and meet their fans, after a discussion with both Haechan and his doctor, it was decided that he would be returning to promotions," the label stated.
"We would like to thank all the fans who sent Haechan their warm encouragement and support, and we will do our utmost to help Haechan promote in good health."
NCT fans, NCTzens, expressed their excitement at the announcement, especially since it coincides with the debut anniversary of NCT 127 on January 27.
NCT 127 is set to come back on January 30, 2023.
