

Police Station 2, Quezon City Police District successfully rescued a 3-year-old girl who was kidnapped by her housemaid on Aragon Street, Barangay Paltok, on August 10.
According to the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO), the suspect,who had been working for the family for nearly two years, asked the child’s mother that she would get medicine from the neighborhood due to stomach pain at around 8 p.m. The suspect brought the child but never returned.
The parents received a text message from the suspect after hours, demanding P150,000 in exchange for the child. The suspect also threatened the family that the suspect would harm the child if the ransom was not paid. The family immediately reported the incident to authorities.
At 12:05 p.m, on August 11, the members of the Follow-up Section acted swiftly by launching an entrapment operation along FPJ Avenue, Quezon City. The child was safely recovered and reunited with the family, while the Police seized a brown shoulder bag with a bundle of genuine and boodle money used in the operation.
NCRPO Regional Director Police Major General Anthony A. Aberin confirmed the successful rescue, saying no one was injured, and the suspect was immediately arrested. The officer also praised the quick response of the operatives.
The child’s family will file a case of Kidnapping for Ransom against the suspect.
