The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) is now in full preparation mode for the upcoming Feast of the Black Nazarene, with heightened security protocols in place to maintain order and ensure the safety of devotees.

According to NCRPO Chief PBGen. Anthony Aberin, nearly 15,000 officers have been deployed across various parts of Metro Manila.

This includes more than 12,000 of their personnel, along with over 2,300 personnel from their partner agencies.

Aberin reiterated that the primary focus is to ensure the safety and security of the millions of devotees expected to take part in the Traslacion 2025.

The Quiapo Church management released the schedule of activities and outlined important guidelines and reminders on December 29 in anticipation of the upcoming feast.

On January 9, the procession, which carries the 400-year-old black image of Jesus Christ, will move from Quirino Grandstand to Quiapo Church in Manila.

Meanwhile, the NCRPO reported that the holiday celebrations in Metro Manila were peaceful. As of January 1, three arrests were made for indiscriminate firing, nine were caught using and selling prohibited firecrackers, and over 790,000 illegal firecrackers were seized across the region.
