The whole National Capital Region (NCR) will be under Alert Level 1 on election day as the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) approved the retention of Alert Level 1 in NCR from May 1 to 15.

In a statement, Malacañang said the following areas will also be under Alert Level 1:

The new restrictions come as the Philippines heads in to its election day on May 9, 2022, where millions of Filipinos are expected to flock to voting precincts to cast their votes.
