The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) arrested two sisters who allegedly served as Filipino facilitators in online child sexual exploitation, forcing minors to engage in sexual acts with each other.
“We were able to save six minor victims, ages 14 and 10. May two months old na ginagamit din nila at tyaka 2 years old na baby girl," NBI Director Jaime Santiago mentioned during a press briefing on Tuesday.
On August 2, an entrapment operation was hatched in Caloocan City by the NBI-Violence Against Women and Children Division (NBI-VAWCD) by virtue of a Warrant to Search, Seize and Examine Computer Data (WSSECD).
"The two facilitators were caught in flagrante delicto offering their children to perform sexually explicit shows in exchange for a fee. VAWCD operatives identified themselves, announced their purpose, and arrested the said facilitators," NBI said in their press statement posted on Tuesday.
VAWCD was able to rescue six minors with ages of 14 (boy and girl), 10 (girl), 7 (girl), 2 (girl), and 2 months old (girl).
The operation conducted stemmed through collaboration with foreign counterparts where reports stated that the two suspects were engaging in online sexual exploitation.
One of the facilitators was directly communicating with foreign nationals while the other was producing Child Sexual Exploitation and Exploitation Materials (CSAEMs).
"Interview with the minor victims revealed that they were not only shown naked on camera but they were also forced to perform sexual acts with one another, sibling to sibling, cousin to cousin, mother to son/daughter while on camera and being viewed live by foreigners," the NBI statement stated.
Medical Legal Doctors found several fresh and old abrasions in the private parts of the female victims.
Furthermore, initial Digital Forensic reports revealed hundreds of materials and sexual chat conversations on the cellular phones of the subjects with foreigners.
The suspects will be facing multiple counts of Violation of Online Sexual Abuse or Exploitation of Children (OSAEC) or Child Sexual Abuse or Exploitation Materials (CSAEM) under RA 11930, Qualified Trafficking under RA9208 as amended by RA11862, and Child Abuse law under RA7610 and Rape by sexual assaults under RA 8353 as amended.
