The Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) reported an on-time performance rating of 84 percent to 85 percent at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) during the Holy Week.
MIAA Assistant General Manager Bryan Co extolled the lack of reported incidents of passenger congestion at NAIA amidst the large number of travelers during the Holy Week.
"Ang maganda sa on-time performance, kapag on-time or on-schedule ang paglilipad ng ating mga flight, naiiwasan natin ang pag-iipon o congestion sa atin mga terminal," Co said on Tuesday, April 11, during DZRH's Dos Por Dos.
Co explained that MIAA coordinated with various government agencies, including the Bureau of Immigration and the Office for Transportation Security, in order to avoid passenger congestion and long queues in NAIA.
"Maganda naman ang pakikipag-ugnayan at coordination sa kanila," Co said
"Nakapag-deploy tayo ng additional resources, both in terms of manpower and equipment para masiguro natin na maayos at maginhawa ang paglalakbay ng ating mga kababayan at turista during this Holy Week season," he added.
