The Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) on Monday said authorities have already identified the person of interest behind the molotov bombing at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 (NAIA-3) parking lot that happened on Saturday, September 23.

In an exclusive interview by RH Sherwin Alfaro during DZRH Damdaming Bayan, AGM for Security MIAA Manny Gonzales said that the Philippine National Police (PNP) spotted a person of interest behind the incident.

Gonzales said authorities corroborated the incident following the crackdown of the MIAA against illegal porters, dispatchers, and colorum operators in NAIA 3.

"There was a series of crackdowns regarding illegal porter dito, illegal dispatcher atsaka yung mga colorum, and meron dito yung individual or group na kumukuha ng mga pasahero pinasasakay doon sa mga non-accredited public transport," said Gonzales.

According to Gonzales, the crackdown, which affected several people's means, could be one of the reasons for the bombing.

"Ito po yung mga colorum, so marami po ditong naapektuhan sa crackdown na ito at yung iba pa dito is may mga iniimbestigahan po, so maari po itong isang dahilan," the AGM for security noted.

When asked if the incident was related to the recent stealing of $300 by Office for Transportation Security (OTS) personnel, where many concluded as "diversionary tactics", Gonzales clarified that the incident was very far from the authorities' assessment.

MIAA has not yet released the suspects in the said bombing.
