The Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) has been provided its own exclusive power circuit, ensuring improved operations.
The New NAIA Infra Corp. (NNIC) revealed that Terminals 1, 2, and 4 have been joined by an “express feeder” to the airport’s very own power circuit, separate from the supply powering upwards of 4,000 residential and commercial consumers in Pasay City.
NAIA’s prior dependence on a shared power supply made it liable to power fluctuations and outages, which may impede “critical operations.” Through NNIC’s partnership with Meralco, the airport is ensured better efficiency in delivering vital services and minimized disruptions during peak seasons, along with a bolstered capacity to enable other extensive modernization projects in the future.
“We are committed to delivering meaningful improvements where it matters most. These infrastructure upgrades are the foundation of a better airport experience—one that’s ready to meet your needs today and in the future,” NNIC said, also thanking passengers for their “patience and trust.”
