Businesses are encouraged to use massive volumes of water to conserve and limit its usage amid the water crisis, the Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System (MWSS) said.

According to a report on Wednesday, Angat Dam's water level has dropped again.

As such, Maynilad Water Services Inc. announced that water interruptions may extend in some areas of Metro Manila until May 16, making MWSS urge business owners to limit their water usage.

Moreover, MWSS Deputy Administrator Jojo Dorado said that using car washes, swimming pools, and golf courses that cause high water consumption may be restricted in the meantime.

However, it is a difficult decision for business owners since water is their primary source of income.

Meanwhile, in 2019, Manila Water mentioned that the primary cause of most water usage in houses is watering plants.
