The Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) on Monday summoned the producers of ABS-CBN's noontime show "It’s Showtime!" to explain the alleged "indecent acts" committed by two hosts in one segment.

In a statement, MTRCB said it has issued a Notice to Appear and Testify to "It’s Showtime!" producers after receiving "complaints concerning scenes that portrayed alleged indecent acts by hosts Vice Ganda and Ion Perez" in an episode of a segment called "Isip Bata".

"Said scene is in violation of Section 3 (c) Presidential Decree No. 1986," it added.

The hearing for the complaint is set for 10 AM on July 31 at the MTRCB Office in Timog Avenue in Quezon City.

The MTRCB issued the notice after social media personality Rendon Labador called out Vice Ganda and her real life partner, Ion Perez for their "indecent acts" in the segment.

In the episode, Ion was seen eating a cake using his index finger. He then offered the cake to Vice Ganda, who also ate the cake using her index finger.

"I support & respect the LGBTQ+ community pero yung mga ganitong klaseng mga tao ay hindi pwedeng itolerate!!! Mas masahol pa ito kay Pura Luka Vega! 🤦‍♂️ #stayMotivated," Labador said.

The social media personality questioned if the MTRCB is monitoring the noontime show.

He then criticized ABS-CBN Network, saying that it has been in the industry for a long time and so, it must fix its job.

"Kung anu ano na talaga ang pinapasok at ginagawa ng ilang tao para lang sumikat no? Yung kahit magpakatoxic kakaririn nila basta makaamot lang ng relevance. How pathetic! Ang sad! It’s not mothering!" she earlier lamented.
