YouTube sensation and philanthropist, MrBeast, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, revealed on Twitter that he turned down an invitation to join a team of explorers on a submersible expedition to witness the Titanic wreckage.

In a tweet on Sunday, the 25-year-old content creator shared his decision, expressing his gratitude that he did not go ahead with the opportunity.

"I was invited earlier this month to ride the titanic submarine, I said no. Kind of scary that I could have been on it," he wrote.

Although MrBeast did not confirm if the invitation was for the ill-fated Titan trip, which tragically resulted in the submersible's implosion, he shared a snippet of a text exchange suggesting someone had asked him to join the expedition.

"Also, I'm going to the Titanic in a submarine late this month. The team would be stoked to have you along," the person's message read.

Renowned for his charitable endeavors and various entertaining ventures, MrBeast's revelation came just days after OceanGate announced the unfortunate loss of all five individuals aboard the Titan submersible.

Titan encountered difficulties last Sunday while exploring the depths of the North Atlantic Ocean in search of the Titanic wreckage.

Approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes into the dive, communication with the Canadian expedition vessel Polar Prince was lost, as stated by United States Coast Guard Captain Jamie Frederick.

An ongoing investigation is underway to determine the cause of the submersible's implosion, leading to the tragic deaths of OceanGate CEO Stockton Rush, British businessman Hamish Harding, French diver Paul-Henri Nargeolet, and Pakistani-born businessman Shahzada Dawood and his son, Suleman, who held British citizenship.
