Excitement is building up in the Philippines' esports scene as the start date for the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League - Philippines (MPL-PH) has been officially announced!

The much-anticipated MPL-PH Season 12 will launch on September 8, 2023, marking the dawn of a new era characterized by intensified competition among the nation's mightiest teams.

This forthcoming season is poised to serve as a testing ground for Filipino squads, allowing them to harness newfound strengths following their experiences in previous regional and global MLBB esports competitions.

MPL-PH Season 12 will once again provide an opportunity for offline spectators to attend in person.

This time, the tournament doors will be open to a daily audience of 500 fans, allowing them to witness matches and see their idols live in action.

Tickets can be secured through the official website https://slashevent.com/, offering two options:

  • GOLD DAY PASS: Priced at Php 455, providing access to all series of the day, and featuring a complimentary MPL-PH #LakasNgPinas lanyard.
  • SILVER DAY PASS: Valued at Php 155, granting access to a single match series of the day.

Offline viewers can earn rewards by completing tasks outlined in the MPL-PH Activity Passport.

Additionally, they will have the opportunity to purchase merchandise items from their favorite teams directly on-site through the MPL-PH Team Spotlight.

This special segment will feature two teams each week setting up booths for their fans.

The upcoming 12th season of MPL-PH is set to introduce significant changes, starting with a streamlined six-week schedule.

Anticipate new line-ups, a revamped emblem system, innovative strategies, and the return of familiar players that will inject renewed vigor into the competition.

Roster changes

Notable roster changes this season include the comeback of CJ "Ribo" Ribo, a Hall of Legends inductee and a highly decorated player in the history of MLBB esports, along with Joshua "Ch4knu" Mangilog joining Smart Omega.

Blacklist International's formidable duo, Johnmar "OhMyV33nus" Villaluna, and Danerie "Wise" Del Rosario, will take an official break and sit out Season 12.

Bren Esports transforms into AP Bren and will retain their SEA Games 2023 lineup in pursuit of M5 victory.

ECHO will maintain its core five players and flaunt the MSC 2023 lineup.

MINANA EVOS, now taking over Nexplay EVOS' spot in the MPL Philippines, will field a squad of ten players, with former player turned coach Jeniel "YellyHaze" Bata-Anon joining them.

RSG PH appoints John "Irrad" Abarquez as their full-time jungler.

Conversely, TNC Pro Team will field a six-man lineup led by Ben "Benthings" Maglaque, who will step in as team captain in place of Jomarie "Escalera" Delos Santos. Escalera will now lead ONIC PH.

The league will also introduce community-focused initiatives, such as the MPL-PH Battle Trips, allowing students and community members to gain insights into esports broadcasting and explore career opportunities in the industry.

Furthermore, another personality from MPL-PH will be honored in the Hall of Legends. The league will soon unveil changes to the selection mechanics for this esteemed award.
