The mother of the 14-year-old girl who was killed in a stabbing incident at Moonwalk National High School in Parañaque claimed that her daughter was the one being bullied, contrary to reports suggesting that she was the bully who caused the suspect to lose his temper.

In an interview with DZRH News on Thursday, the mother said her daughter had long been telling her that a classmate, whom she described as "bakla," had threatened to kill her.

"Sinabi niya sa'kin noong gabi, 'Mama, mamamatay ako, Mama. Baka sumunod ako kay Papa. Ayokong pumasok, Mama,'" the mother said.

She allegedly encouraged her daughter to report the threats to her teacher and the barangay, but her daughter refused, fearing it might give her a bad record at school.

The mother also claimed that there had been previous incidents where her daughter was attacked with an ice pick.

"Kaya po lagi siyang absent, binabantaan po lagi siya," she said.

When asked about the possible motive behind the suspect's actions, the mother said it was due to "envy," citing a make-up item that her daughter refused to lend. However, several witnesses claimed that her daughter was the actual bully.

According to reports, the 14-year-old victim was stabbed with a kitchen knife inside their classroom during recess.

The mother further stated that the suspect also tried to chase her daughter's friends, but her daughter was the one who was ultimately stabbed. She allegedly sought help from three classrooms, but no one was able to stop the suspect due to fear.

The victim sustained four stab wounds in different parts of her body.

The 15-year-old suspect, who is now classified as a child in conflict with the law (CICL), was turned over to the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).

He is facing a homicide case before the city prosecutor.
