Mother Lily confirmed the passing of her husband, Leonardo “Remy” Monteverde on Tuesday.
The Regal Entertainment founder uploaded her husband’s obituary card on Instagram, including the details of his wake. The former basketball player died on Monday at the age of 86 and is mourned by various people from the film industry.

Remy, or “Father Remy”, as the people within the Philippine film industry call him, was recognized for his sweet and lovely moments with Mother Lily.
Several people such as Joey Reyes and Erik Matti, expressed their sadness and offered their sympathy for the bereaved.
Joey Reyes, Chairman and CEO of the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP), said that Remy had always been a strong silent figure beside his wife.
Film Director Erik Matti reposted the obituary card on his Facebook page, offering his deepest sympathies to the Monteverde family.
"His legacy and contribution to Philippine cinema through Regal Films will always be remembered and recognized," he captioned.
The wake will be held at 38 Valencia Events Place Quezon City starting July 30, and will continue from July 31 to August 2.
