Manila Mayor Isko Moreno came back to Tondo, Manila, on Saturday evening to end the 90-day campaign period for his presidential bid.

Tondo has been one of the places brought up by Moreno during his campaign, where he cited his humble beginnings.

In his speech, Moreno expressed his gratitude to the people of Tondo and his supporters.

"Maraming salamat sa lahat ng tumulong sa'kin. Maraming salamat, Tondo. Kung wala kayo, wala rin ako sa kinalalagyan ko ngayong gabi," he said.

(Thank you so much to all who helped me. Thank you, Tondo. Without you, I would not be here tonight.)

"Totoo, paminsan-minsan magaspang kami. Paminsan-minsan akala ninyo pala-away kami. Mabait po kaming mga taga-Tondo."

(It’s true that there are times when we are rough. At times, you believe that we always seek fights. But people in Tondo are kind.)

"Sa Tondo, hindi mo kami kailangang bilhin. Sasama kami sayo hanggang dulo."

In his response to his speech, his crowd of supporters said "Walang iwanan."

Moreno also took a swipe against Vice President Leni Robredo, who was in Ayala holding her own miting de avance.

"'Yang mga nasa Ayala Avenue, 'yan ang nangako sa'tin ng pagbabago," he said.

(Those people in Ayala Avenue, they were the ones who promised us change.)

"Sila na raw ang simbolo ng demokrasya, nangako sa'tin noong 1986 ng pagbabago pero bakit ngayon ang pinag-uusapan pa rin natin pagbabago?" he added.

(They claim to be the symbol of democracy. They promised chage in 1986, but why are still talking about change until now?)

"Hanggang kailan tayo mag-aaway? Hanggang kailan iikot ang mundo natin sa mundo ng pula at dilaw?"

(Until when are we going to fight? Until when will our world circle the world of the red ad yellow?)

The presidential candidate's jab is a part of his campaign message of condemnation against what he claimed as continuous fight between the "reds" and "yellows."

In his speech, he urged his supporters to end people's sufferings and hardships brought about by the conflict by the two opposing sides.

"Tama na, sobra na, tapusin na natin ang deka-dekadang bangayan ng dalawang kulay. Panahon na para tutukan naman ang problema na kinahaharap ng ating bansa at ng ordinaryong Pilipino," he later said on a Facebook post.

(Enough, this is too much. Let us end the decades of quarrel between two colors. It is time to focus on the problems faced by the country and ordinary Filipinos.)
