From six volcanic earthquakes on Friday, the daily volcanic earthquakes in Taal volcano increased to 16 on Thursday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) reported.
According to the recent PHIVOLCS latest bulletin, 13 of the 16 volcanic earthquakes had tremors that lasted one to five minutes.
The Taal Volcano's moderate emission of plumes soared up to 1,200 meters and drifted in a southwesterly direction.
On Wednesday, Taal's emissions of sulfur dioxide were 5,887 tonnes. Additionally, a vog which is a haze or smog made up of volcanic gas and particles was seen in the area.
According to PHIVOLCS, the volcano's Main Crater Lake saw an upwelling of hot volcanic fluids.
There was also evidence of both a long-term deflation of the Taal Caldera and a short-term inflating of the western Taal Volcano Island.
Taal is still on Alert Level 1 or low-level unrest.
