There are over 81 million Filipinos who have already registered in the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys), according to the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA).

In a press release, PSA said a total of 81,005,872 Filipinos had successfully completed PhilSys registration as of October 3, 2023.

"This significant milestone was achieved through the PSA’s dedicated efforts and unwavering commitment to ensure an inclusive and accessible national identification system for senior citizens, children, persons with disability (PWDs), and Filipinos living in geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas (GIDAs)," the statement read.

According to the Statistics Authority, one of the many consistent demonstrations of such dedication includes the use of PhilSys on Wheels, where vehicles are equipped with registration kits to reach GIDAs.

PSA exampled Ilocos Norte and Davao del Norte, wherein PSA personnel mounted registration kits on a tricycle, even crossing waters to bring PhilSys registration services to the area.

"Similar efforts are conducted in various parts of the country to ensure that no one is left behind in PhilSys," PSA said.

“The PhilSys journey is one of dedication and determination. Reaching 81 million registrants is a reflection of our commitment to inclusivity and accessibility for all Filipinos,” said PSA Undersecretary Claire Dennis S. Mapa, PhD, National Statistician and Civil Registrar General.

“Our goal has always been to ensure that every citizen, regardless of their circumstances, has access to PhilSys. Sisikapin namin na puntahan ang ating mga kababayan kung nasaan man sila upang maihatid ang registration services sa kanila,” he added.

Meanwhile, PSA still encourages everyone to register for PhilSys.

Services remain available in fixed registration centers ( nationwide and are open to walk-in registrations.
