The number of damaged houses in the areas that were hit by Typhoon Odette has been increasing based on the reports and information that the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has been receiving.

In the latest record of the Disaster Response Operation Monitoring and Information Center (DROMIC) of the DSWD, 53,797 houses are totally damaged in regions 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, MIMAROPA, and CARAGA.

Of these figures, DROMIC said 85, 210 were partially damaged houses.

Affected families also rose to 588,778 families or 2,348,754 individuals. There are 112,966 families in the evacuation centers which equates to 459, 673 individuals.

The DSWD is continuing its efforts to provide aid to the families in the areas affected by the typhoon.
