<p dir="ltr">Calling all Moana fans, Auli&rsquo;i Cravalho will not be reprising her role in the live-action remake of the Disney animated film.</p>
<p dir="ltr">Last Saturday, the Hawaiian actress Auli&rsquo;i Cravalho made the announcement on her Instagram.&nbsp;</p>
<p dir="ltr">Cravalho said &ldquo;When I was cast as Moana at 14, it wonderfully changed my life and started my career. In this live-action retelling, I will not be reprising my role.&rdquo;</p>
<p dir="ltr">She then said that it is vital that the casting of the characters and the stories that need to be told must be accurate.</p>
<p dir="ltr">Cravalho will be an executive producer of the live-action film and will be helping in finding Moana with a courageous spirit, undeniable wit and emotional strength.</p>
<p dir="ltr">&ldquo;I am truly honored to pass this baton to the next young woman of the Pacific Island descent to honor our incredible Pacific peoples, cultures and communities that help inspire her story,&rdquo; said Cravalho ending her Instagram video.</p>
