The Metro Manila Development Authority (MDMA) said on Monday that the 2022 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) already reached its P500 million target in gross sales.
In a press release issued by the MMDA, MMDA, and MMFF overall chairman Atty. Romando Artes expressed their excitement to announce that the 2022 MMFF is truly a box-office hit for reaching its gross sale target.
Ran from December 25, 2022, to January 7, 2023, the MMFF featured eight films, four of which led with the most sales: Deleter, Family Matters, Labyu with an Accent, and Partners in Crime.
Meanwhile, in the same statement, Artes announced that the Metro Manila Summer Film Festival will happen on April 1, followed by its awards night on April 11.
He mentioned that they will release the deadline for submission of entries earlier possible for interested producers and filmmakers to be guided accordingly.
It may be the same with MMFF, the Metro Manila Summer Film Festival will run for 11 days from April 8 to April 18 in cinemas nationwide.
