The implementation of the Expanded Unified Vehicular Volume Reduction Program (UVVRP) or the expanded number coding scheme is suspended on Wednesday, in observance of Eid Al-Adha or Feast of Sacrifice in Islam, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) announced on Monday.

"Suspendido ang pagpapatupad ng expanded number coding scheme sa Miyerkules, Hunyo 28, 2023, regular holiday, para sa pagdiriwang ng Eid’l Adha o Feast of Sacrifice," it said in an advisory.

The MMDA advised the public to plan their travel ahead of time, follow traffic rules, and take precautions during the holiday.

Last week, President Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr. issued Proclamation No. 258, declaring June 28 a regular holiday in the country.
