The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) will retain Gabriel Go as head of the Special Operations Group–Strike Force despite facing complaints and controversies.
Go is facing several complaints, including one filed by a police officer whom he reportedly humiliated during a clearing operation in Quezon City.
The official drew further controversy when Senator JV Ejercito became involved and highlighted alleged abuse claims against him.
However, the senator and the MMDA have already discussed the issue.
Following this, MMDA Chairman Atty. Romando Artes has instructed Go to undergo a five-day training program focused on stress and anger management.
The program will be conducted by MMDA Traffic Education Division Chief Bong Nebrija, the agency’s former traffic czar.
Artes emphasized that this is not a form of punishment, but rather a means to help Go improve his leadership in clearing operations across Metro Manila’s streets.
