The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) on Thursday, Dec. 21, recommended added security in Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX) after passengers reached 121,000 yesterday.

MMDA General Manager Usec. Procopio Lipana said that the agency would allow provincial buses to use EDSA starting tomorrow from December 22 to January 2, 2024.

He added that provincial buses from North Luzon should terminate their trips in Cubao, Quezon City while those from South Luzon should terminate their trips in bus terminals at Pasay City.

The directive was a bid to accommodate the expected surge of passengers who would go to their respective provinces for the holiday season.
