The dry run for the exclusive motorcycle (MC) lane along Commonwealth Ave. in Quezon City will go on for another week after the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) announced the extension on Friday.

In a statement, MMDA acting chairman Don Artes said the extension will give way for the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) for its repair undertakings.

"We opt to continue the dry run of the exclusive motorcycle lane along Commonwealth Ave. from Elliptical Road to Doña Carmen and vice versa. In coordination with the DPWH, their patchworks in the area will continue to address the issues on the said road," he said.

The MMDA chief said that the extension will also give more time for motorists to be familiar with the policy before the full implementation.
