In the aftermath of Typhoon Carina and the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat), the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) and the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) have initiated an extensive cleanup operation at Manila Baywalk Dolomite Beach.

In a report by DZRH reporter Boy Gonzales, teams have been busy hauling away debris, including plastic and styrofoam, with over ten sacks and multiple trash bags collected so far.

The dolomite sands are being carefully swept to remove any buried trash, ensuring the artificial sand is restored to its fine quality.

Repair work is also in progress to address damage to barriers and other parts of the beach infrastructure.
