The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) announced on Wednesday that Tomas Claudio St. in Pandacan Manila will be closed for four months, starting from 10 pm on Aug. 5 to Nov. 30.

In a report by DZRH’s Boy Gonzales, the street shutdown will give way to the construction of Skyway Stage 3.

The MMDA Skyway Stage 3 (MMSS3) project is an elevated expressway from Buendia, Makati City to the North Luzon Expressway in Balintawak, Quezon City.

The advisory said affected motorists are advised to take alternative routes.

According to MMDA, motorists coming from Valenzuela St. in Sta. Mesa going to Quirino Ave. or Beata St. in Pandacan should take the Ramon Magsaysay Ave., turn left to Lacson Ave., and straight ahead to Quirino Ave. or turn left at Jesus Street to their destination.

While the vehicles coming from Osmeña Highway headed to Valenzuela St. in Sta. Mesa is advised to go to Quirino Ave., then to Mabini Bridge, turn right to Ramon Magsaysay Ave., and turn right to their destination.

Motorists who are coming from Osmeña Highway going to Beata St., can take Quirino Ave., turn right to Tomas Claudio St., and into their destination.

For trucks and trailers coming from Beata St. in Pandacan going to Quirino Ave., MMDA said they should take Jesus St..

The light vehicles, on the other hand, may take Tomas Claudio St. to Quirino Ave., and to their destination.
