<p>Classes in all levels in the entire National Capital Region (NCR) were suspended on Friday, September 22, due to smog formation, according to the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA).</p>
<p>In an advisory, the MMDA said the class cancellations were based on the announcement of 17 Local Government Units (LGUs) in the National Capital Region (NCR).</p>

<p>Meanwhile, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said that the presence of <a href="https://dzrh.com.ph/post/ndrrmc-on-fog" target="_blank" rel="noopener">smog in Metro Manila </a>was due to natural phenomena and not the volcanic smog coming from Taal Volcano.</p>
