The Metro Manila Council (MMC) on Wednesday formally approved the single ticketing system that will standardize apprehension for traffic violators across the National Capital Region (NCR).
The council passed the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) Resolution 23-02 during its meeting held at the MMDA head office in Pasig City.
Present in the meeting are the local chief executives in Metro Manila.

According to Metro Manila Council Chair and San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora, all cities and municipalities in NCR will be given 45 days or until March 15 to amend the newly-signed resolution.

The implementation of the single ticketing system will start in April, he said.
Under the single ticketing system, all cities and municipalities across NCR will have unified policies and penalties for 20 common traffic violations.
Among the traffic violations included disregarding traffic signs, illegal parking (attended and unattended), reckless driving, driving without a license, driving an unregistered vehicle, overspeeding, illegal counterflow, number coding violations, and obstruction.
