The crash site of the missing two-seater Cessna Plane 152 aircraft was found in Apayao province after more than 24 hours, the Cagayan Provincial Information Office (PIO) reported on Wednesday, April 2.

According to Cagayan PIO, Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management (PDRRM) Officer Jeoffrey Borromeo confirmed that the crash site of Cessna 152 aircraft with body number RP-C8598 was found in the boundary of Brgy. Salvacion, Luna and San Mariano Pudtol in Apayao.

The two passengers were earlier identified as pilot instructor Capt. Edzel John Lumbao Tabuzo and Indian student pilot Anshum Rajkumar Konde.

The Cagayan information's office said further details about the discovery will be announced.

According to the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP), the Cessna 152 aircraft took off from Laoag City airport in Ilocos at 12:16 PM on Tuesday.

The aircraft was supposed to land in Tuguegarao City airport in Cagayan, but it failed to reach at expected arrival time of 12:30 PM.
