The Miss World Organization announced that the 2022 pageant will be held in May 2023, taking place on a later date same as the 2021 edition due to pandemic.

The host country and final date has yet to be announced.

There were over 80 countries expected to participate in the said pageant including Philippines, Australia, Bangladesh, Barbados, British Virgin Islands, Croatia, Denmark, Greece, Guyana, Kazakhstan, Lebanon, Lesotho, Liberia, Russia, Thailand, and Zambia.

Rumors has it that the crowned beauty queen in the 71st edition will receive $1 million in cash and a Hollywood contract.

Moreover, the Miss World 2022 will also enjoy a world tour for charity events, ambassador of luxury brands, and will be granted an apartment in London during her reign.

Miss World Philippines 2022 Gwendolyn Furniol will represent the country in the upcoming pageant to try bringing home the crown since Megan Young in 2013.
