The highly-anticipated Miss Universe Philippines 2026 coronation night is set to take place on May 1, 2026, at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, organizers announced in a recent pageant update.

The event will crown the next Filipina representative to the global Miss Universe 2026 competition.


The upcoming edition marks the seventh staging of the national pageant, with 51 candidates from various provinces, cities, and municipalities across the country competing for the prestigious title. The reigning queen, Ahtisa Manalo of Quezon province, is expected to crown her successor during the grand coronation night.

Organizers also introduced a new fan-driven competition format for the 2026 edition, allowing the public to take a more active role in the selection process. Preliminary competitions—including the evening gown, swimsuit, and closed-door interview segments—are recorded in advance and released in stages, with public voting helping determine which candidates advance to the next rounds.

According to the pageant organization, candidates who do not initially advance through public voting may still move forward through selections by the judging panel, brand awards, or wildcard slots announced during coronation night. The revamped format aims to strengthen fan engagement and bring the competition closer to Filipino audiences nationwide.
