Laguna bet Yllana Marie Aduana has been crowned as Miss Earth Philippines 2023 during the pageant's coronation night in Toledo City, Cebu on Saturday night.
The 24-year-old crowd favorite, who finished her studies at Centro Escolar University, beat out 27 other candidates in the environment-focused pageant.
Aduana, from Siniloan, Laguna, will represent the Philippines at the Miss Earth 2023 beauty pageant later this year.
She stands at 5 feet 7 inches and has a 33-23-36 measurement.
The pageant's final question-and-answer segment had the top five candidates answering a common question.
They were asked what they thought people in the future would say about their generation.
Aduana's advocacy is called 'E.A.R.T.H. Education', which stands for Environmental Awareness and Action to Restore and Transcend Home through Education.
She plans to use her non-profit organization, Edukasyon for Every Juan, to organize seminars and colloquiums educating people on climate reality as part of her fight against climate change.
The outgoing Miss Philippines Earth 2022 Jenny Ramp crowned Aduana, who earlier expressed her desire to become Miss Philippines Earth 2023 because "this is really what my heart wants."
