A few days before his retirement, Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Rodolfo Azurin Jr. ordered a minor reshuffle among high-ranking PNP officials.

In a general order dated April 18, Azurin assigned the following officials to new positions:

• Police Brigadier General Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. as PNP acting Director for Comptrollership
• PBgen. Carlito Malapit Gaces as Regional Director of PNP Regional Office - Calabarzon
• Police Colonel Antonio Pacis Marallag Jr. as acting Deputy Regional Director for the Administration of Police Regional Office - Ilocos Region

The new designations is effective April 19, 2023.

The order was signed by Police Major General Robert Rodriguez, Director for Personnel and Records Management.
