Ocampo began by stating that she had not been feeling well since the turn of the year, waking up in the middle of the night owing to breathing issues, weariness, frustrating weight gain, and a constant feeling of suffocation.
Despite her fear of hospitals and needles, the actress opted to have herself tested and undergo multiple procedures, including an ultrasound and a biopsy.
She was eventually diagnosed with papillary thyroid carcinoma, necessitating a thyroidectomy.
According to the Mayo Clinic, the most common type of thyroid cancer is papillary thyroid carcinoma, which is frequently very small and responds well to treatment even if the cancer cells migrate to the lymph nodes in the neck.
It goes on to say that a tiny percentage of this type of cancer is aggressive and may involve structures in the neck or spread to other places.
Miles then thanked her physicians, family, Crown Artist Management, her "Eat Bulaga!" coworkers, and her boyfriend Elijah Canlas and his parents.
She concluded her entry with a postscript encouraging everyone not to body shame, anyone, regardless of their present health situation, saying, "Be kind. Always. Please."
