Miss Philippines Michelle Dee failed to take home the fifth Miss Universe crown as she fell short in the semi-finals.
The 28-year-old Filipina beauty queen only made it into the Top 20 and Top 10 during the international pageant’s coronation ceremony held in El Salvador on Sunday, Nov. 19 (Philippine Standard Time).
The candidates who made it to the Top 5 were from Australia, Puerto Rico, Thailand, Nicaragua, and Colombia.

Nonetheless, Michelle entering the top 10 and top 20 marked the Philippines’ comeback in the Miss Universe semi-final.
It can be recalled that the country's 12-year streak to semi-finals at Miss Universe broke during the 71st edition in 2022.
Michelle also did not go home empty-handed, she was one of the three gold winners of Miss Universe’s Voice for Change video competition. Joining her were Miss Angola and Miss Puerto Rico.
“Michelle Dee passionately advocates for autistic acceptance and empowerment. Congratulations and thank you for making a difference,” the host said.
