Passengers who may be experiencing inconvenience due to flight delays at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) can expect quicker delivery of refreshments thanks to the airport's partnership with the delivery service platform GrabFood.
On April 4, the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) announced its deal with GrabFood through a Facebook post.
The MIAA could gain access to a GrabForBusiness platform for a diverse range of food merchants as a result of the collaboration.
GrabForBusiness PH head Hernan Mayhay noted that the portal is only accessible to the MIAA and thus is ineffective if the aircraft firms arrange refreshments for the impacted customers.
According to Mayhay, MIAA's own portal might supplement the list of eateries that may be tapped for rapid access to food and beverage supplies.
Administrators can use the portal's functionality to manage and streamline employee access, payment methods, policies, and reporting. Furthermore, GrabFood claims that transactions are recorded and published in full detail in real-time via the portal.
Meanwhile, MIAA general manager Cesar Chiong said in a statement that the relationship with Grab Philippines demonstrates management's commitment to better serving stakeholders.
Grab Philippines Senior Director for Deliveries Anton Bautista, on the other hand, stated that the collaboration is an example of how digitalization can help firms enhance their services.
