Meta concurrently suspends the SMNI News page and its affiliates on Wednesday, March 19, for violating community standards.

In its announcement the same day, SMNI said that Meta had suspended their Facebook page, and other related pages like DZR 1026 Sonshine Radio and SMNI Integrated News, which is owned by Apollo Quiboloy, the self-proclaimed “Appointed Son of God.”

Based on its statement, the pages were suspended for “expressing hatred or contempt for a group of people and using harmful racial stereotypes,” which Meta considers a violation of their community standards.

Despite this, SMNI maintained that they did not post anything harmful to the community. Challenging the suspension, they wrote, “If this is the price for speaking the TRUTH, then so be it.”

“SMNI will always speak the TRUTH THAT MATTERS,” they ended their statement.

As of writing, SMNI’s other social media pages like: Nightline News, NewsBlast, Banteros, and Pulso ng Bayan, are still accessible.

Meta, formerly the Facebook company, is a technology conglomerate that operates Facebook, Instagram, Threads, and WhatsApp.
