The Manila Electric Company (Meralco) on Thursday, February 8, announced a P0.57 per kilowatt hour (kWh) increase in the February 2024 electricity rate.
According to RH Edniel Parrosa, Meralco spokesperson Joe Zaldarriaga attributed the increase to high generation charge, taxes, transmission charge, and the return of FIT-All collection ordered by the Energy Regulatory Commission.
