The Manila Electric Company (Meralco) on Tuesday announced lower power rates for this month of April.
In an advisory, the power distributor said the electricity rates will go down by ₱0.1180 due to low generation and transmission charges.
With this, the rate is now ₱11.3168 per kilowatt hour (kWh) from the previous month of ₱11.4348 per kWh.
For a household consuming 200 kWh monthly will only pay ₱24 and those who are using 400 kWh will pay ₱47.
Meanwhile, those consuming 300 kWh and 400 kWh will pay ₱35 and ₱47, respectively.
