

Metro Manila will remain under modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) until September 7, presidential spokesman Harry Roque announced Saturday morning.
In a statement, Roque said the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF) has decided to retain the quarantine classifications in other areas.
Aside from Metro Manila, the areas of Apayao, Ilocos Norte, Bulacan, Bataan, Cavite, Lucena City, Rizal, Laguna, Aklan, Iloilo Province, Iloilo City, Lapu-Lapu City, Cebuy City, Mandaue City, and Cagayan de Oro City will also be under MECQ from September 1 to 7.
"NCR, Bataan, and Laguna shall have added restrictions on dining, personal care services, and religious activities," Roque said.
Meanwhile, these areas are under general community quarantine (GCQ) with heightened restrictions:

The rest of the Philippines, on the other hand, will be placed under modified GCQ.
