January is going to be so fetch as "Mean Girls: The Musical" heads to cinemas in January 2024!
On October 3rd, Paramount announced that the film adaptation of the "Mean Girls" musical will land in theaters on January 12, 2024.
"January 12 is going to be SO FETCH," the post read, along with the announcement of the "Mean Girls" poster with a musical note in one of the letters.
The musical is based on Tina Fey and Mark Waters' iconic 2004 film, the screenplay for which was based on the 2002 book "Queen Bees and Wannabes" by Rosalind Wiseman.
The musical film, which started production in March, stars Angourie Rice, Reneé Rapp, Auli'i Cravalho, and Jaquel Spivey as Cady, Regina, Janis, and Damian, respectively.
The original "Mean Girls" movie starred Lindsay Lohan, Rachel McAdams, Amanda Seyfried, and Lacey Chabert, and premiered in 2004.
