McDonald's, in partnership with Coca-Cola, hosted a donation drive and Christmas party with the theme "Share the gift of Smiles" to 100 underserved families to extend their generosity this Christmas season.

With the same vision of 'sharing light to communities and bringing the magic of togetherness to consumers', McDo and Coke distributed McDonald's Kindness Kitchen Meals, noche buena packs including eight-piece Chicken McShare and 1.5L of Coca-Cola bottles, and Happy Meal toys to the families who attended the event.

To officially start the event’s program, San Isidro's barangay captain, Hon. Karen Mae Hernandez, addressed her heartfelt remarks, expressing her gratitude towards Ronald McDonald's House Charities (RMHC) Philippines and Coca-Cola for the opportunity of bringing joy to the families for the Christmas season.

RMHC's Executive Director Marie Angeles also delivered her speech conveying the event's aim to spread kindness through providing food and beverages to the chosen community, followed by Coca-Cola's representative Anna Taruc, saying that the Christmas party and donation drive were part of an early Christmas gift from them.

At the event, the families got hyped by a dance performance led by Ronald and the Gang, who allowed everyone to stand up and do the "Ronald McDonald Dance."

The Christmas party became more fun and exciting as the children actively participated in the three games - "Trip to Jerusalem," "Paper Dance," and "Longest Line" - prepared by the McDo employees.

After the lively game, Asia's Soul Supreme KZ Tandingan serenaded the families with a few songs from her released singles such as "Two Less Lonely People in the World," "Till My Heartaches End," and "Mahal Ko O Mahal Ako," which brought out the talent of the attendees to sing along with her.

Moreover, the event provided booths, such as ring toss, hoop shoot, prize booth, and shoot the hole, and a wish list board pasted with post-it notes with the wishes and greetings from the families.

In this partnership, Coca-Cola and McDonald's showcased kindness in providing meals to the community from McDonald's Kindness Kitchen alongside other Coke products.

A total of 200 participants, consisting of 100 parents and 100 children, attended the joyous event, as well as McDo and Coke employees who played a part in distributing donations to the communities.

McDonald’s Philippines Chairman and Founder George T. Yang acknowledged everyone for the successful event in bringing fun, excitement, and smiles to the families during his closing remarks.

Meanwhile, the main beneficiaries of the donation drive and Christmas party were Ronald McDonald Bahay Bulilit, Office of the First Lady, Department of Education (DepEd) Region XII-Lanao Del Norte, Philippine Air Force, Philippines Navy, Makati Medical Center, Presidential Security Group, and Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA).

Local government units (LGUs) from Pasig, Mandaluyong, Antipolo, Floridablanca, Marikina, Pasay, Parañaque, Manila, Las Piñas, San Juan, Makati, Dasmariñas, Caloocan, and Quezon City were also the beneficiaries of the joyous event.
