After resigning from the political party Hugpong ng Pagbabago, Davao City mayor and Presidential daughter Sara Duterte - Carpio took her oath as a member of the Lakas - CMD.

House Majority Floor Leader Rep, Martin Romualdez, the president of Lakas-CMD, administered the oath to Duterte-Carpio on Thursday, November 11, at the Revilla Farm in Silang, Cavite.

Sen. Ramon Revilla Jr., the chairperson of Lakas-CMD, witnessed the oath-taking ceremony.

The decision of Inday Sara to leave Hugpong ng Pagbabago, a political party that she founded in 2018, and join Lakas-CMD further fueled speculations that she will run for President in the 2022 national elections.
