

The family of the late Percival Mabasa, also known as Percy Lapid, on Wednesday, November 3, said that the authorities have already identified suspected masterminds behind the death of the broadcaster.
However, Roy Mabasa, brother of Percival, stressed that he cannot yet divulge the names of these people allgedly behind the assasination plot.
"Sa amin mga pag-uusap kanina, mukhang meron ng tinutumbok subalit I am not at liberty to say to you kung ano yung mga pangalan o pagkakakilanlan," Roy told reporters after a case conference at the Department of Justice.
"Hahayaan natin yung DOJ na tapusin ang kanilang trabaho kasama ang NBI (National Bureau of Investigation) at PNP (Philippine National Police)," he added,'
Roy said that authorities could make a new announcement regarding the developments of the case, and file further murder charges in the upcoming days.
"We will wait the final investigation na i-submit ng NBI and PNP. By then, siguro, makakapagbitaw na tayo ng mga pangalan. Hintayin na lang natin," Roy said
Percival died on October 3 during an ambush in Las Piñas City.
Joel Escorial, who confessed to the murder of the broadcaster, has surrendered to the police, and revealed that he has five accomplices,
Escorial also said that the order to kill the mediaman came from the New Bilibid Prison.
