In celebration of the Day of the Filipino Seafarer on Wednesday, June 25, mariners will be entitled to free rides aboard the LRT-2 and MRT-3, through the partnership of the Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA) and the Department of Transportation (DOTr) Railway Sector.

They may avail of the free rides at the LRT-2 from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on that day; at the MRT-3, mariners may make use of it as early as 5:30 in the morning.

Mariners only need to show their Seafarer’s Record Book (SRB), Seafarer’s Identity Document (SID), or their Seafarer’s Identification Booklet (SIB) to claim their free trips.
