TV host and actress Mariel Rodriguez-Padilla is facing backlash after she flexed a photo of herself having a gluta drip inside her husband's Senate office on social media.
Based on the now-deleted photo posted on Instagram, Mariel was sitting at a desk while her left arm was receiving the gluta drip.
Her husband, Senator Robinhood 'Robin' Padilla, was seen sitting on the opposite side of the desk.
"Drip anywhere is our motto! Hehehe [I] had an appointment with @dripinluxeph but [I] was going to be late so [I] had it done in my husband's office hehe," she captioned.
The 39-year-old TV host added that she never misses any drip appointments, citing that this helps her collagen production, whitening, energy, metabolism, and immunity, among others.
"So convenient and really effective! [M]agaling talaga," Mariel ended.
A Reddit user named fashionpulis.com was able to secure a screenshot of Mariel's Instagram post.
"Delicadeza where art thou? Nahawa na tong si Mariel sa asawa nyang sabaw. She blocked me on her [Instagram] for commenting na mas concerned pa s[i]ya sa dolomite kesa sa mga colleagues nya sa [ABS-CBN] na nawalan ng work. Kahit si katipunero binlocked ako haha kasi I commented na umay na mga tao sa visa serye nya at masakit sa ulo basahin posts nya kasi walang punctuation. Kaya mga botante vote wisely next time," the user captioned.
In the comment section, Reddit user winterchampagne bared that the TV host even contacted Drip in Luxe to take down her nearly one-minute video advertisement from their Instagram.
"Pinakita nya ang IV drip sabay sabing, “Kasi iba tayo.” Iba nga si Mariel kasi nag-shoot pa ng commercial sa loob mismo ng Mataas na Kapulungan ng Pilipinas (upper chamber of the Philippine Congress)," winterchampagne said, referring to the one-minute video ad.
As of this posting, Mariel has yet to release an official statement about the issue.
