

President Ferdinand Marcos and Vice President Sara Duterte have kept their high approval ratings, according to the latest survey conducted by Publicus Asia.
In the 2nd quarter statement survey, Marcos recorded a 62% approval rating, slightly higher than the 60% he obtained in the first quarter of 2023.
However, the President's approval rating declined in parts of North Central Luzon, dropping to 60% from the previous 68%. On the other hand, it increased in the Visayas region, reaching 71% from 60%.
As for Duterte, she maintained her 67% approval rating from the previous quarter but experienced a decline in Northern Luzon to 61% from the previous 70%.
In the same area of North Central Luzon, lower trust ratings were recorded for Marcos, at 54%, and VP Sara at 61%.
The said survey was conducted among 1,500 voters nationwide from June 8 to 12, 2023.
Meanwhile, Marcos expressed gratitude for the continuous support of the Filipino people towards him and his administration.
During an ambush interview, he stated his belief that these developments are the result of unity and understanding.
He exemplified that if people see the economy moving in the right direction, it is because of the collaboration among different sectors.
"Kahit na hindi pa natin nabubuo. nakikita naman siguro natin na lahat ng kayang gawin ng pamahalaan ay ginagawa para maabot natin 'yang ganyang klaseng sitwasyon, [gaya ng] magandang buhay, maraming trabaho," said the president.
The President is pleased that the public recognizes the government's efforts to improve the lives of Filipinos.
"Kahit 'yung mga mahihirap ay nakakatanggap kahit papaano ng tulong sa pamahalaan," he added.
