President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. will be spending the Holy Week with his family, but would continue to monitor the situation around the country.

In a press briefing, Palace Press Officer Undersecretary Atty. Claire Castro announced that the President plans to make up for lost time with his loved ones after a busy schedule filled with official activities.

Castro shared that while the President did not disclose the exact location of his brief vacation, he mentioned that his Holy Week break would begin on Holy Thursday.

Castro further said Marcos still has official engagements scheduled at the Malacañang on Holy Tuesday and Holy Wednesday.

Despite the break, the Palace assured the public that President Marcos would closely monitor the situation across the country.

Castro further said that the president also reiterated his directive to concerned government agencies to ensure the safety and convenience of Filipinos traveling for the holidays, as well as the protection of those staying in their home.

This year’s Holy Week runs from April 13, Palm Sunday, to April 20, Eastern Sunday.
